Your side of the boardroom.
Board Companion is the private, portable record every director keeps for themselves — so your questions, contributions, and dissents are documented, defensible, and yours.
Encrypted end to endYour data never visible to the companyEnglish + Português (BR)
The problem
Everything that protects you lives in documents you don't control.
The questions you asked. The caveats you raised. The materials you actually received before the vote. All of it sits in the company's minutes — written by the company, often sanitised, and gone from your reach the day you leave the board.
If a decision is ever questioned, the minutes are the company's version of events. Where's yours?
The product
A personal governance record, built for directors.
One private workspace per board mandate: meetings, decisions, questions, notes, risks, documents — structured the way a lawyer would want to find them, encrypted before they ever touch a database.
Decision log with integrity. Append-only: nothing silently edited, everything timestamped. Corrections are added, never overwritten.
AI that won't guess. Ask questions of your own board materials and get answers with citations — powered by Claude Opus 4.8 on every plan. If the materials don't address it, it says so.
Your record, exportable. Branded, watermarked PDF of any board — or your entire record — whenever you want it.
Three pillars
Private. Portable. Defensible.
Private
Encrypted field by field, invisible to the company and to other directors. No tracking inside the product. Operated from the EU.
Portable
When you rotate off a board, your record leaves with you. Every mandate, every year, intact.
Defensible
A structured, contemporaneous account of what you knew, what you asked, and what you advised — the evidence diligence is judged by.
How it works
Minutes per meeting, not hours.
Create a board
One workspace per mandate — company, jurisdiction, retention rules handled for you.
Record as you go
Minutes received, questions asked, decisions taken, dissents noted.
Stand on your record
Ask the AI what your materials say. Export the proof when it matters.

FAQ
Questions directors ask.
Aren't the company's minutes enough?
Minutes belong to the company, are often sanitised, and you lose access when you leave. If your conduct is ever questioned, the minutes are the company's account. Board Companion is yours — contemporaneous, complete, in your possession.
Is my data safe?
Sensitive fields are encrypted before they reach the database, and the database enforces per-user isolation on every row. There is no third-party tracking inside the product. The platform has undergone a comprehensive security review against a documented methodology — findings remediated and the full process documented.
Why not my own notes, or Notion?
Unstructured notes prove you wrote something — not that you were diligent. Board Companion gives you the structure a lawyer would recognise, append-only integrity, per-jurisdiction retention, branded exports, and an AI that answers only from your materials.
What does the AI do with my data?
It reads only what you upload, answers only from it, and cites where each answer came from. Your data is never used to train models. Every plan runs Claude Opus 4.8 — no downgraded model on cheaper tiers.
Is it appropriate to keep my own record?
Keeping a personal record of your own diligence is standard good practice recommended by governance bodies. It documents your conduct — it is not a copy of company information, and it stays encrypted and private to you.
I'm on my first board — is this overkill?
Liability starts at your first meeting, not your third mandate. The habit costs minutes per meeting; reconstructing two years of diligence from memory, after a dispute, is impossible.
